We were very excited to be able to make a trip to Kinsgville to Bdad and Gram's house for Thanksgiving this year.
My in-laws have an amazing back yard. It is one of my favorite places to sit and drink coffee. The weather was gorgeous, and we spent a lot of time outside. Rhett fell in love with the chickens and pretty much chased them around all weekend.
He was especially fond of the white chicken. I'm pretty sure he poked this chicken in the eye several times. These chickens got a good workout in with Rhett around!
Unfortunately, Tim's grandma fell on Thanksgiving day, and ended up needing surgery. We were sad that we didn't get to share the day together, but we were thankful that she was okay. We were able to visit her a couple days later in the hospital. Rhys and Rhett sang to her, gave her kisses and hugs, and were very concerned about her "big ow-ie."
We went to a really nice park one morning and the kids had a great time running, sliding, and climbing.
There was a really cool lion slide, too!
We decided to try to take some pictures of all of us together while we were in town. We forgot the tripod, and the timer remote, but we still got some nice pictures.
We headed back to the park with the lion slide for another round of fun!
Thanks Bdad and Gram for a wonderful weekend of fun! We loved our time with you (and the chickens.) Also enjoyed visiting with Mickey and Mindy and Uncle Ted. So much to be thankful for and really thankful for our family this year.
P.S. I know the Bennett family is disappointed that I did not take a single "food" picture for this post. I can't believe it myself. I'll do better, I promise. But, for the record, the food was wonderful!
