I took this test the night before my doctor's appointment, but didn't tell Tim. I was excited to see "pregnant" but didn't want to get my hopes up. I had heard of "false positives" and wanted to have the blood work done to confirm it first. I was so nervous!
I went to the doctor the next morning at 8:15 a.m. and they took my blood. I came home and waited for the phone call......every time my phone rang I jumped in anticipation. Finally, around noon, my favorite nurse called. As soon as I answered the phone, she asked, "How do you feel?" I said, "Nervous....." and she said, "Well you should feel pregnant because you are!"
What an exciting day! Tim was coming home early that afternoon and I was trying to figure out how I could tell him. I couldn't wait though! I called him immediately and told him the good news. He came right home and we prayed a prayer of thanksgiving and gratitude for the gift of a child. (At this time we had no idea we would be having TWINS.....I'll post on that another day.)
I remember feeling excited and nervous at the same time. I had wanted to be pregnant for so long, yearned to be a mother and start our family, and it was finally happening.
So, here we are, one year later, with two beautiful blessings. Praise God for his faithfulness!
How exciting!!! I'm so happy for you two and your sweet family. The twins are precious.
